Our open fire kitchen has coal, flames and smoke at its heart, so almost everything that leaves our kitchen has been in contact with fire. Our menu combines small plates and grill-led favourites with larger dishes and sharing plates. So you can mix, match and layer to create anything from a laid-back lunch to a full-on feast.

OUR FIRE KITCHEN

Our kitchen is powered by Somerset Grill Co. – Argentinian-style live-fire grills, engineered and handmade in South Somerset. Designed for the theatre of outdoor open-fire cooking, we’ve worked with Somerset Grill Co. to integrate them into our permanent indoor fire kitchen, so we can cook over real coal-fired flames all year round.

The grills give us incredible control and character: height-adjustable racks, steady embers and multiple heat zones mean we can move effortlessly from slow-roasted joints and hanging steaks to blistered veg and seared seafood, all over the same live fire. It’s a set-up that echoes how we like to cook at The Harlyn - honest, tactile and with a little bit of theatre, and it’s why Somerset Grills were a natural choice to take pride of place at the heart of our kitchen.
